Burhum Abyss Cresset Puzzle Walkthrough in Crimson Desert

Siow by Siow|

This walkthrough will show you where to find the three Engraved Stones to unlock the Abyss Cresset and solve the Burhum Puzzle.

How to reach Burhum

You can find Burhum in the western part of the Crimson Desert. It’s a short trip southwest of the Spire of the Sun. Around the area are the Wells of Reflection, Anguish, and Patience. An Abyss Nexus is shortly northeast of Burhum.

This area will initially be occupied by the Dusksong bandit group. You can still complete this puzzle while it’s occupied, but it’ll be far easier if it’s cleared out.

Where to find the three Engraved Stones

Atop the tallest building in Burhum is an empty Abyss Cresset. To activate it, you’ll need to find three Engraved Stones in the area. Two of these are found on the same tower as the cresset, while the other is on a nearby tower southeast of the cresset tower.

At each location is a stone tile you’ll need to Force Palm. When activated, it’ll rotate to reveal a glowing Engraved Stone.

First Engraved Stone Location

Starting from the bottom up, go to the tall tower southeast of the cresset tower. About a third of the way up, there’s a hole in the wall that will lead to the first Engraved Stone.

Second Engraved Stone Location

Going northwest of the first stone’s location, you’ll find the second Engraved Stone under a canopy on the cresset tower. Look for the blue cloth flowing in the wind.

Third Engraved Stone Location

The third and final stone is above and to the right of the second stone’s location. It’s in a hole in the wall where the blue cloth is. Once you have all three stones, make your way to the top of the cresset tower.

Insert the Engraved Stones into the slots

When you reach the top of the cresset tower, you’ll find a ladder going into the level below. Use it and you’ll be in a tight room with glowing runes. Insert the three Engraved Stones into the slots to activate the cresset and pick up the Abyss Artifact.
