A beetle known for its metallic, shimmering body. Its colors—green, blue, gold, and more—shift depending on the angle of the light. Thanks to its striking appearance, it is popular as an ornament or collectible. The larvae grow inside wood.

How to Obtain

You can catch the Golden Jewel Beetle on a small rocky hill in the Rainforest in Delesyia, near the border with the Crimson Desert. It is easily noticeable when it’s dark.

Additional Info

You can first obtain the Sighting of the Golden Jewel Beetle if you want its location to marked on your map, but you are not required to purchase this document.

The Sighting and the Beetle itself were added with Update 2.04.00. They are part of the base game, not the paid DLC.

Catching the beetle will complete the Catch the golden jewel beetle challenge from the Mysterious Animals challenges tab. The other challenges include the other two new Legendary Insects, the Hyacinth Macaw, and the Iron Eagle. It is possible the developers may add more with new patches.

The eagle and macaw were added to the game much earlier.

You can use the Kuku Insect Gatherer’s Pack, but you have to be quite close to the beetle. And it’s bright shiny gold, so it’s not going to be difficult to spot.
