Greater Shockward is a Defensive Abyss Gear available to all players in Crimson Desert. It increases your Lightning Resistance. It’s an upgrade to Shockward III.

Grants a variety of effects when embedded in an equipment socket. Witches found in each region have the power to embed or remove Abyss gears.
How to Obtain
You can get it as a random reward from a Witch’s Special Synthesis, which fuses one stat gear (a gear that boosts a stat) and one effect gear (a gear with a special effect) of the same tier. The result is a random Unidentified Abyss Gear, and every Fusion has a 4% chance of it being a Greater Abyss Gear.

- How to Trigger it: Greater Shockward is a passive bonus. It raises your Lightning Resistance as long as the equipment it is slotted into is equipped.
- Cost Considerations: It is not tied to a skill, so it adds no extra Stamina or Spirit cost. Unlike the regular tiers, it has limited durability that wears down with use, and it may only just last through a tough boss fight.
- Related Abyss Gears: Flameward and Frostward do the same for Fire and Ice Resistance.
- Recommended Use: Save it for lightning bosses such as Titan, and use Shockward III against the electric machines of Delesyia.
