Fortification II is a Defensive Abyss Gear available to all players in Crimson Desert. It increases your Defense. It’s an upgrade to Fortification I.

You can use a Witch to synthesize two Fortification I into one Fortification II.

- How to Trigger it: Fortification II is a passive bonus. It raises your Defense as long as the equipment it is slotted into is equipped.
- Cost Considerations: It is not tied to a skill, so it adds no extra Stamina or Spirit cost. Several copies can be slotted across your armor and shield for a larger total.
- Related Abyss Gears: Aegis reduces the damage you take in a different way, and Fortitude lowers the Stamina cost of guarding.
- Recommended Use: Best on body armor and on the shield of a sword-and-shield build. It helps most against enemies that hit hard with single blows.
