Shred II is an Offensive Abyss Gear available to all players in Crimson Desert. It increases your Critical Rate against enemies wearing cloth armor. It’s an upgrade to Shred I.

Grants a variety of effects when embedded in an equipment socket. Witches found in each region have the power to embed or remove Abyss gears.
How to Obtain
- You can use a Witch to synthesize two Shred I into one Shred II.
- You can get it as a reward for completing the Gun challenge When Lightning Strikes I, which is unlocked by a Sealed Abyss Artifact.
- You can get it as a reward for completing the Special Equipment challenge Special Weapon: Propeller Spear, which is unlocked by a Sealed Abyss Artifact.

- How to Trigger it: Shred II is a passive bonus. It raises your chance to land critical hits against enemies in cloth armor as long as the equipment it is slotted into is equipped.
- Cost Considerations: It is not tied to a skill, so it adds no extra Stamina or Spirit cost. It does nothing against enemies in other armor types.
- Related Abyss Gears: Shatter and Rend do the same against plate and leather armor, and Insight raises your Critical Rate against every enemy.
- Recommended Use: Best against lightly clothed enemies such as cultists, mages and civilians-turned-bandits. Swap it out when you face armored soldiers.
