How to Obtain
The Black Bear Gas Mask has a chance to drop from the enemies wearing them throughout the Main Story, mostly in Pailune. Black Bears re-blockade Steinnfell Fortress on the border between Hernand/Calphade and Pailune.
There’s also a Crimson Desert Commissions Faction Quest called “Merchant Behind the Camp” near the Saltroad Camp along the road to Varnia that gives you a Black Bear Gas Mask if you talk to them after clearing out the Goldenscales who have taken over the camp.

Additional Info
Brimstone gas applies a silent DoT if you’re near it. If you put the helmet on before you get too close, you won’t get the DoT and can move safely. It does not cure you of the DoT nor does it protect you from other toxic gasses as depicted in the game’s tutorial clip at the time of publishing.
