A small and light animal bone. Because it’s easy to work with, it’s widely used to craft accessories, tool parts, and decorations. Depending on its form, it allows for the creation of intricate and finely detailed goods. Can be obtained from carcasses of wolves, deer, and goats.
How to Obtain
- You can hunt animals and skin them for small bones.
- You can buy small bones from Provisioner’s Shops.
Skin Animals
You need wolf, goat, deer, gazelle, and other mid-sized animals. Some of the tiny animals will drop small bones, but usually in smaller quantities. The best approach to hunting for crafting materials (bones, hides, feathers or meet) is to find a large group of the animal type you need and try to take as many of them with one shot or ability as you can.
The location I am showing you, is in the Crimson Desert, so quite a late-game region, but you can apply this strategy anywhere. Look around any of the Abyss Nexuses and Abyss Cressets you have discovered for a large group of the type of animal you want for the particular hunt. The spot in the eastern Crimson Desert, near the Rockshade Bandit Camp, is full of gazelle and condors, which will give you plenty of variable materials.

Additional Info
Small Bones are a potential bottleneck at any point when you are bulk-refining new accessories for your characters. The amount required can be quite large and buying from vendors is not always a good idea, because none of them actually stock large quantities and you will waste more time jumping from one shop to another.
Earrings take by far the most Small Bone. A single earring needs 234 to reach Level 9, while rings and necklaces need 84 each. If you plan to refine jewelry, stock up long before you start. How the range breaks down:
- Leather headgear and gloves: 16 each
- Leather chest armor: 29
- Pickaxe: 65
- Rings and necklaces: 84 each
- Earrings: 234
To maximize your efforts, make sure you have a separate equipment specifically for farming materials and remember to place something like Blessing of the Beast in it.
