Gold Ore is a valuable resource in Crimson Desert. It is primarily used in crafting, refining equipment, and making money. You can usually find it in caves.

A golden mineral, which has been regarded as the most precious since ancient times. As a symbol of wealth and power, it has hoarded and used for decorations. Attempts to create it through alchemy have persisted for ages. It is found deep within untouched caves.

How to Obtain

Gold Ore is usually found deep in caves. More often than not, their entrances are clearly visible from afar, because they are blocked by a giant golden-colored boulder (this one is not a resource to mine). You can break it to reveal the entrance.

The best method to track Gold Ore locations is to use the Environment Filter on your map. Once you find Gold Ore (or any kind of ore), it is permanently marked on your map and you can return from time to time after it resets, to farm it.

One easy-to-access early on location is the Anvil Hill Cave, located on the eastern side of Anvil Hill between Hernand and Demeniss.

If you come here prepared with a proper farming equipment (see Additional Info below for details), you can easily leave the cave with 80-90 Gold Ore chunks from a single visit. And if you teleport to an Abyss Cresset or Abyss Nexus nearby, the resources respawn.

Additional Info

Use a Mining Knucklerdrill or Bernor’s Pickaxe to mine Gold Ore for better results. You can also have a secondary set of gear with Abyss Gears like Blessing of the Earth boosting your mining capabilities.

Although it is used in refining accessories and other items, Gold Ore’s best use is to make money. After you obtain and learn the Alchemy Formula for crafting Gold Bars, visit any Witch to craft Gold Bars using 3x Gold Ore and 1x Golden Apple. When you are at a witch’s location, talk to her and choose: Craft Abyss Gear → Special Items → Gold Bar (the second entry).
