Grants a variety of effects when embedded in an equipment socket. Witches found in each region have the power to embed or remove Abyss gears.
How to Obtain
- You can buy its blueprint from the witch Bari and learn to craft it.
- You can Extract it from an armor piece and use it in your own gear.
- You get it as a reward for completing the Horse challenge Harmonious Hooves V.
- You get it as a reward for completing the Training challenge Stepping on Clouds.

- How to Trigger it: Ascent I is a passive bonus. It applies automatically while the equipment it is slotted into is equipped.
- Cost Considerations: It is not tied to a skill, so it adds no extra Stamina or Spirit cost. It does take up a socket that could hold a combat gear.
- Related Abyss Gears: Haste increases Movement Speed and Surge increases Swim Speed, covering the other ways of getting around.
- Recommended Use: Best in a traversal loadout for climbing-heavy exploration, then swapped out for combat gears before hard fights. In reality, you will likely not use this Abyss Gear at all.
