Plate boots once worn by Merrick, the Knight of Fortune. Golden metal wraps around the shins and insteps, casting a blinding glare when caught in the sunlight. However, the uneven thickness of the plates and the crude finish suggest a vulnerability to impact, revealing that practicality was somewhat sacrificed for the sake of glamor.
