Bismuth Ore is a rare mineral in Crimson Desert. It’s used primarily for high-tier refinement at the blacksmith, especially for plate armor like boots and chest pieces. Its shimmering deposits are easy to spot, but getting too close damages your health.

A mysterious metal said to be a fallen star that has hardened. It shimmers with rainbow hues against a silver base, and rumors suggest that whoever holds it gains magical power. It is found within the White Mountains and the frigid peaks of Everfrost.
How to Obtain
Bismuth Ore is available across Pywel in exposed veins on cliffs as well as from Bismuth Crabs. You can also buy it from multiple locations, such as Mineral Shops around Quarries.
How to Mine Bismuth Ore
To be able to mine it yourself, you will need the Force Current skill from the Green skill tree, which allows you to transmit energy to the object you have your Force Palm attached to. This breaks the magical barrier of the Bismuth Ore and you can collect it.

Where to find Bismuth Ore
There are several exposed veins in the rocks around Scholastone. You will likely stumble upon them on your way to the Institute during an early main story quest anyway.
When you discover an open vein, it will be permanently marked on your map, so you can return from time to time and farm it. Open the Map and set it to the Environment Filter to better see these nodes.

A great repeatable spot to farm for larger quantities is Drakesfall Castle, northeast of Hernand. Bismuth veins line the courtyard walls, and the shiny patches on the ground are Bismuth Oreback Crabs that drop Bismuth Ore when defeated.

Their backs damage you on contact too, so knock the Bismuth off with Turning Slash while they’re immobile, and lean on Lightning attacks.
Send Mission Dispatch
You can send workers from the Greymane camp to complete Missions at the Krall Foundry (Gorthak, Delesyia) to mine Bismuth Ore for you. Keep in mind that you must first discover and liberate this location. If it’s blockaded, you will not be able to send workers to it.

Additional Info
Use an upgraded mining tool like a Fine Pickaxe, Bernor’s Pickaxe or the Mining Knuckledrill for better yields, and slot Blessing of the Earth into your equipment to mine even more.
The crabs at Drakesfall Castle occasionally drop Abyss Cells as well. The chance is low, but they’re a nice bonus.
If you’re heading for late-game armor upgrades, stock up on Bismuth Ore early so it doesn’t hold you back later.
