How to Obtain
- You can extract this Abyss Gear from the Icewing Plate Armor to slot into your equipped items. You can get the Icewing Plate Armor as a reward for defeating Gwen Kraber at the Eldertree in the quest Frozen Eldertree.
- You can obtain its blueprint from Mission Dispatch and learn to craft it with the help of a Witch.

- How to Trigger it: Shattering Frost triggers when you land frost-imbued attacks while the armor it is slotted into is equipped. The ice bursts after a short delay and can freeze enemies caught in the blast.
- Cost Considerations: It costs extra Spirit every time it triggers, on top of the Spirit spent on the frost imbue. You need the frost element unlocked through the Imbue Element skill, and bosses rarely freeze.
- Related Abyss Gears: Frost Hail also triggers from frost-imbued attacks, while Volcanic Eruption, Orbs of Lightning and Pillar of Wind do the same for other elements.
- Recommended Use: The strongest frost gear for crowd control. Pair it with Frost Hail to freeze whole groups of enemies, and swap to fire gears before boss fights.
